Steff and the Articles
Steff and the Articles is an alternative pop band from Tucson, Arizona. The band came together in 2009, after singer-songwriter Steff Koeppen assembled the group to bring her piano-based songs to life, which uniquely feature live violins. Steff and the Articles has released over four albums and has toured the West Coast and Southwest regions, as well as Sonora, Mexico. They continue to perform together in various configurations and are currently recording new music for an upcoming release.
A timeline of notable events:
2010: Steff Koeppen and the Articles releases their debut self-titled album.
2012: Steff and the Articles releases album Stories You Can’t Tell, featuring single “Two Cities,” which sees rotation on mtvU.
2013: The band releases single “It Really is Quite Lonely Here,” followed by EP Why It Was So, featuring single, “Te Extraño.”
2013: The band opens up for A Great Big World at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ.
2014: The band tours behind their previous release, hitting cities across the West Coast, Southwest and Mexico.
2014: Singles “Call You Mine” and “I Want More” are released, followed by another West Coast tour that summer.
2015: The band opens up for Copeland a the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, AZ (Copeland’s record Ixora features Steff’s vocals). 2017: Full length album Timekeeper is released, featuring singles “Keep You Around” and “Nothing Left.”
2020: Steff and the Articles celebrates their 10-year anniversary with a live hometown performance.
2021: Single “Inhibition” is released, a home-recorded and produced quarantine project.
